FUN-tastic Leaders !

Hi guys !

So, another busy week has passed and up till now the Leaders are making good progress in carrying out their respective jobs for the MAJOR event that’s coming up pretty soon. J

There has been a meeting held on Thursday like every other week before. Not only did we discuss about the committee groups respective tasks, we also had lots of fun doing

To all the new members who signed up on the recruitment drive, there will be a General Meeting on Thursday, 11/08/2011, from 4-5 pm. There will be ice-breaking sessions and fun games ! For those who are interested in joining but did not sign up on that day, you can just turn up for the meeting and sign up on the spot.

As mentioned in the earlier post, there will be an audition to find an emcee for our upcoming exciting event. This audition will be held on Wednesday, 10th of July. This is a great opportunity for all those aspiring emcees out there ! And there’s cash reward too. So, come grab this opportunity !

Recruitment Drive

WOW!! How time flies! it's Friday again and the recruitment drive all of us had been anticipating for was over. the drive was held today at the college car park, from 12 to 2.30.

Tents were set up and each club has a booth of their own. TLC got the second booth from the front and the crowd was CUH-RA-ZY. People flooded the whole car park and members at the booth were explaining non-stop to the newbies about the club, trying to persuade them into the club. Flyers were thrown around followed by questions which all leaders try their best to answer. The hooroosh ended in half an hour and leaders finally got to get some rest and to bring the posters around, spreading the news of the upcoming MAJOR event.
Every registered new member gets a lollipop or an Apollo wafer from the leaders as leaders know all people loves sweet things, especially when it's FREE!!

Hey ! :D

First of all, if you’re reading this, I would like to thank you for spending little of your time checking out our blog ! (do tell your friends,ok ? ) ;)

Ok, moving on to what’s going on in Leaders’ Club. For the past few weeks, there have been about 5 meetings held . These are mainly to discuss about the upcoming MAJOR event that the committee and members are planning.

So, if you are a member of the club but haven’t been attending the meetings ( where were you ?? ), you will be hearing about it pretty soon ! Non-members – don’t worry, you can take part in the event too ! Oh, and to all members, please attend the meeting because you have the opportunity of helping out in the Event, Marketing, and Publicity group. This can actually help you boost you leadership skills !

FYI, the Recruitment Drive is coming soon, people ! This is an opportunity for the club to promote itself to the students, particularly the June intake students. The details of the event are as follows :

Date   :           29th July 2011

Time   :           12 pm – 3 pm

Venue  :         TCSJ Main Campus, Car Park Area.

 The friendly committee of the Leaders’ Club and some dedicated members are going to be at the booth to promote the club. Also, don’t miss the on-stage promotion by representatives from the club !

For the MAJOR event that we are organizing, there’s a lookout for an emcee. So, if you think you got what it takes to be a cool emcee, keep your eyes open for auditions soon !

We're finally back!:D

Having been, well, 'dead', for a year, the Leader's club has decided to refresh the blog and keep you guys out there updated with our club's activity. Our very first event this year (when i get to meet Leaders' club for the first time) is the recruitment drive on the 21st of April. Leaders (members of Leaders' club) are busy promoting the club and having to compete with at least 20 other clubs, trust me, it's not easy at all. It was a huge success and the club managed to recruit quite a large number of new members.

The next activity we had would be the General Meeting. Just a week after the recruitment drive, the new members get to meet the existing members, or senior members, and the Board of Directors all at once for the first time. They were introduced to us while we, new members were introduced to them. Ice-breaking games, chocolates, ahh.. I wish the following General Meeting would be the same, no, cross that, more chocolates! XD

A few meetings had been conducted after the General Meeting. Activity plans for the year were discussed and the topic of refreshment of this blog was brought up by our dear president, Amy, herself.

JULY: Leaders are busy preparing for our MAJOR event coming September. Meetings were held every Thursday where members get together and crack their heads thinking of ways to make the event a successful one. Busy, fun, busy, fun.. Leaders always have fun amidst being busy for serious work. :)

BUT, WHAT EVENT? You'd ask, well, keep checking our blog to find out!!
